Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's Vision for India

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, often referred to as the ‘Iron Man of India’ has played a vital role in the Indian struggle to freedom. He has been in the news recently because of an announcement made regarding a statue being built in his honor.

He is remembered for his wonderful and futuristic vision of India. His dream of an independent India was that of a country having its own civil service so that it could have a well developed administrative system which functions from the roots and organizes the people of India.

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is also known as the ‘Architect of Modern India’. This is because he was the one who had the courage to oppose Pandit Nehru’s ideas and supported privately owned businesses in India. He was in favor of giving a chance to private players to start up their business independent of government's influence. Not only this, but he also ensured better border safety policies to protect India from external threats.

To conclude, I would like to say that we should be forever indebted to him for showing us the path towards a ‘Commanding India’.
